Wireless home network mini tutorial:

1. Determine number of users and required hardware.

2. Purchase the required hardware, normally a wireless broadband modem router and some access cards.

3. Read any manufacturer guidelines before installation.

4. Configure the router, setup Internet connection settings, wireless settings and add basic security. Add users as required.

5. Connect the router to the Internet socket and test it.

6. Connect the hardware to each users computer, configure it and test for network and Internet connectivity.

7. Connect and setup common resources such as printers.

8. Apply advanced security settings to the network.
